Ami Christianson (Owner):

Ami trained at Capri Cosmetology Institute. She began her career in Madison, Wi. where she specialized in hair & makeup for film & television. Seven years later she opened two salons & spas, “Creating Waves Salon”, and, “Yellowstone Day Spa”, where she practiced advanced skin care, body treatments, & waxing.
Ami brought her advanced skills to Geneva, IL in 1999 where she opened “Designs by Mon Ami”. In 2004 she expanded her business and staff and opened One Salon & Bridal Co. Ami specializes in organic hair color, hair extensions, airbrush makeup, and is one of the top wedding stylists in the Chicago area as well as the United States.

Katie Phelps - Stylist: 

 At age three, Katie received a Little Tykes beauty salon for Christmas she knew that doing hair was her true passion in life. Katie has always had a love for art and as a way to express herself she attended cosmetology school at Pivot Point International Academy where she excelled in all of her classes. In color design she received the highest grades in her class and then graduated with honors. Katie brings her love of hair and creative approach to each and every client she meets. What I love about being a stylist is that each client is an work of art to me, so I’m always getting to create new things throughout my day.

Becki Kennedy - Stylist: 

 Becki attended beauty school while still in high school. It was there she discovered a passion and talent for hair. Becki has enjoyed more than 18 years in the St.Charles/Geneva area, helping people achieve a look that works with their lifestyle. “I believe there is no better feeling than people leaving with a smile and looking forward to them coming back.”

Christy Burns - Independent Stylist:

 Christy began her career by assisting Ami when she was only 17 while she studied at NIU. She worked for 2 years as a stylist in a salon before returning to One Salon.

“I love working with Brides so I decided to take my business back to where I began - "One Salon and Bridal Company".. Christy specializes in precision cuts, creating bold beautiful blonde hair coloring and waxing. You can count on her to give you the look “you” want while offering you her honest professional opinion.

Paty Ramirez - Independent Stylist:

Paty has lived in the area all her life. From a young age she knew she wanted to pursue a career in the beauty industry. Paty went to Hair Professional Academy right after high school. After graduating she worked in Geneva for over ten years. Paty mastered precision cutting along with advanced techniques in color, highlights, straightener and makeup. She specializes in thick coarse curly hair.
