Well, not completely-it was already pretty perfect. But we do have some fancy new packaging, and products!
This week we are featuring Glo’s Lip Revival. This minty gloss will hydrate and promote the look of fuller lips. It contains almond oil, sunflower seed oil, peppermint oil (for a fresh Holiday feel, of course).
Not sure how to shadow? Here you go!
Almond eyes: Accent this perfect eye shape by concentrating a warm, mid-tone to the crease
Round eyes: Blending the shadow beyond the outer corners of the eyes will lengthen this shape. Create a cat eye with liquid eyeliner to further elongate the eye.
Close-set eyes: Create space by applying a highlighter color to the inner corners of the eyes, near the bridge of the nose. Adding a few individual eye lashes to the outer third of the eye will draw attention outward.
Slanted mono-lid: Rather than attempting to create a cut crease, it is best to concentrate color along the eyelash line by blending upward towards the crease. Highlight the eyebrow bone to create more dimension.
Full eyes: Minimize the most prominent part of the eye by concentrating the deepest shadow color at the center of the eyelid, carrying it just past the crease.
Small eyes: To make small eyes appear larger, extend the lightest shadow slightly above the upper eyelash line.

Clean up your act!
Sticky silicones, thick waxes, conditioner buildup, hard water mineral deposits and damaging chlorine- the list of elements sticking to your hair is endless. And without properly removing these coatings, the results of hours in the hair salon can be negatively affected. Here’s some tips to keep in clean!
a. When using a clarifying shampoo, apply it from the scalp to mid shaft, avoiding the ends. This allows the shampoo to focus where the buildup lives.
b. In the summer when you are swimming and perspiring more, your hair color and texture can shift. A clarifying shampoo can restore the hair’s balance, and save it from discoloration.
c. Clarifying shampoos are especially important for curly haired clients who use a lot of products to keep their curls under control.

From glossed over lids to color swept cheeks and eyes, this season is all about color, both soft and vibrant. Soft pastel shades to bright colored blocked 80’s inspired eyes and lips were seen on runways from NY to Milan. Just when we thought that glitter was so last holiday, it has reinstated itself in the form of the dramatic glitter pout. The classic French manicure reinvented itself with a creative glitter flair of lining the cuticles. The dark, vampy, red lip of last season has updated itself in bright shades of raspberry, orange and cherry red. Dreamy watercolor eyes sparkled with pastel shades brushed artfully across the lid present a fresh, fun approach to the season.

Contouring has met its match! The latest type of chiseling is created with large brush strokes of blush and more blush. Blush draping replaces the traditional contouring and highlighting trend of the 80’s. It is now making a comeback, this spring, in the form of blush to enhance cheekbones, brow bones, and eyes.
Not much is needed to recreate this look. one shade of blush or eyeshadow in hues of pink or coral will do. Keep in mind that the cheek is overly exaggerated and is the center of attention with a bit of the same shade swept across the eyelid and over the temples. This trend will give you a reason to blush!
This technique and many more will be demonstrated at our makeup party next week!
